mental illness/health stories and travel blog
(AND WRITING PORTFOLIO)
Welcome, willkommen - bienvenue!
I'm Pete and I write a lot about mental health.
That's my niece up there, pushing me around in a wheelbarrow.
I have decided to stop work on this site, as from February 2020. I have a new blog, same topics, different platform and style at petesmentalhealth.com There is still extensive reading here though!
This website is not to brag about being well, I'm not completely recovered - but to hopefully be a help by showing what helped me. This is also where I share about my experiences for some light reading. I like writing.
There are several interesting pages here available through the menu icon in top left -
About me, my book and my story (as it sounds). In all honesty I had quite a rare mental illness and it was very interesting.
Le Blog - I blog about mental health and travel, this is my most popular page. I add new posts every Sunday. The most recent blog is about getting over anxiety, part three of a three post series.
Le Guest Blog - I have a few guest blog posts about mental health and am always on the lookout for more.
Guest Article Page - for more lengthy mental health articles written by some wise mental health writers.
Pete's Quick Mental Health Tips - my favourite page with tips from my own 18 year journey.
Book Extracts - from my book (a work in progress).
Old Articles Page - from 2017 and 2018 this page has articles I have had published on other mental health websites including "Taking my Mental Illnesses to Italy for a Holiday"
New Articles Page - for recent articles written for other mental health websites including "About my Mental Health 2018 - Aligning it all"
Comments Section - I'd love to hear any questions or feedback. Please leave a comment.
Contact - contact me details.
Photo Gallery - an informal place where I share photos of travel. I also have lots of photos about my travelling in my blogs.
For Literary Agents - Interested publishers/literary agents etc. please see your page via the menu for more information.
There are some nice photos at the top of each page.
This website looks better on a large screen. If you are on a small screen and your eyesight is good, I'd recommend clicking on the three dots in the top right and choosing the desktop site option.

I'd appreciate sharing on social media, there is a Facebook share button at the top of the page underneath the pic of me being an idiot. Find me on Facebook, as Peter Edward Mcdonnell and on twitter too, @PeterMcDonnell_
